i've always liked writing. i guess i've always thought i'd end up writing something of some sort someday. yes, even as a child i had narrowed it down that much. be an author? hmm. i think being an author is so so much work. you have to be a genius in my opinion. you have to make someone imagine an entire story in their head. they have to imagine a life being lived, one that they get to pick the faces for, and the scenery. you have to be witty. i guess i can be witty. i think i'm far too goofy to be an author though.
what about writing a movie? when i was a kid i used to imagine a movie in my head. i could see it all. every once in a while i still do that. i write the ideas down. obviously they are not all complete original thought, and some are quite obviously the idea of a 7 year old.
so many movies nowadays originate from a book or a novel. which is wonderful in some ways. but kid of pitiful in other ways.
sometimes i wonder if i could be as cleaver as andrew niccol who wrote the truman show. but after seeing the movie head over heels, i'm convinced any movie i could have written when i was 7 would have been more witty than that.

dream on
i may be wrong. but it seems to me that we can all picture our own dreams coming true. our little dreams that we keep inside. i don't know what it is. i think it has to do with how badly we want it, that we can just imagine it happening for us. i mean, why would we imagine our own dreams not coming true?

a theory in progress
i've thought for some time now that life and relationships would be much easier if we embrace people for what they are. everything they are. rather than what they are not. seems easy enough hey? when i sit in my chair watching tv i always keep the remote next to me usually slightly jammed down in the seat. today someone was complaining for the millionth time about me leaving the remote in the seat always. i always leave the remote in the seat. just embrace it, embrace the fact that the remote can almost always be found slightly jammed down in the chair.
one of my best friend's is rather ditzy. i have known this about her for some time now. i've embraced that about her. so i know to expect it. thus helping me not get frustrated.
i sound like a type of religion. "just embrace people for what they are".
i wonder if it's already been invented. the embrace religion. although i don't know how it could be called a religion considering it doesn't tie into God other then everyone being God's children, and we're to embrace them for what they are.
rambling... and done.

a fresh breath
i don't give up on you, blog.
i keep so much inside my head. and there's so much i really should at least put in to words so i don't explode. anyway, when i have meaningful (meaningful to me) things to say, and i'm not sure who to tell, i shall put them down on here.
i was thinking the other day (in a third person view), about this boy i guess you could say i'm "interested in" and i imagined him wrapping his arms around me. and immediately my thought went to "you haven't earned that". which then led to a big mind discussion with myself about whether or not love can be earned. which led to a big text discussion with a dear friend about whether or not love can be earned.
most love is unconditional, yes. but some has to be proved, i think. not that i wish to prove to this guy that i deserve to be in love with him. nothing like that. i'm incredibly awful at putting this into words. it's not that we need to prove to someone that we deserved to be loved by them, it has nothing to do with the person. i guess i mean, in life. like in life i haven't done anything to earn being in love. not that i don't deserve it. i think this entire thought process is simply because i am not ready to be in love. i hardly have any desire for it, anyhow.
my thoughts on love and relationship are too much to discuss.

i would like
i would like to wear my hair in a pony tail everyday for a month and then see how much longer it grew.
and i would like to be able to climb mountains whenever i wanted to.
that's really all i'm asking for.

into the wild
i watched the movie into the wild tonight.
it's possibly one of, if not the, most beautiful movies i have ever seen. it inspires you. which is key in good films, but it really made me fall in love with the story. the main character was so honorable. which i think is kinda rare. i mean, sometimes they start bad and turn good. but christopher mcandless (alexander supertramp) was an amazing person from start to finish. he is really a pure character. and there is something so warming about his adventure. the movie has a lot of deep, beautiful quotes and readings. it also has God mentioned in it a few times. and when God is mentioned it's in very uplifting ways. the story is true, too.
i have to read his book he wrote.
it really is beautiful.
